Our laboratory carries out specific measurements applicable to industrial processes in the field of industrial metrology. Checking the dimensions, such as length and width of a component, is a crucial step in the production process for the quality of the industrial product. In the metrological laboratory, the conformity of components is evaluated according to the design specifications, visible with the technical drawing 2D and 3D.
The measurements taken can provide support in the evaluation of material incoming from suppliers or in the management of internal material exceeding its standard acceptance capacity, to unstructured companies whose customers request a verification of the products made at the same time as supplying.
Unilab’s approach, in its metrological laboratory, offers a complete service as it goes beyond the simple supply of data for analysis, but it wants to be a support to the customer both in its understanding and also in the presentation of the same to the final customer. The service is provided using different technologies: contact, optics, laser and tomography.
The multiplicity of technologies present makes our laboratory unique.
· Dimensional checks, sampling, PPAP, Capability of drawing quotas
· Comparison with CAD model with chromatic map of deviations
· Profile and roughness (Ra, Rz, Rz1max, Rmax) measurements by profilometer and roughness meter.
· Programming of measurement cycles for dimensional testing on Zeiss CMMs
· Scanning of moulds or prototypes for analysis of geometric deformations compared to CAD model
· Dimensional measurement of large components by measuring arm or optical scanner
